The grace and peace of Jesus. My name is Sava Costel, I am 38 years old, I am married, I have 4 children. I am a true Christian for 16 years and currently serving as a deacon in a small church.
In the Gospel of Luke 14: 15-24 The Lord tells us: Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame, but regretfully I say, that most go away of this work, especially when it comes to Gypsies. I write these lines to you kindly to support us in prayer, in the prayer circles, in your church.
In the Epistle of Jacob the Word tells us: The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, therefore, we believe that your prayers will be answered, as they are made righteous and are godly, meaning that: you bring people Salvation.
Please pray that God will give us victory, to sent us His help, and God baptize us with Holy Spirit.
Why I got to ask you this? In Romania are very few people who pray for the Gypsies, because we believe in you, you don't have racial barriers, and because we have experienced the power of prayer, more persons for the same cause.
Six months ago I started regular prayer meetings at my home and noticed that there are people willing to listen to God's word, and granted with him, to get the Lord Jesus in their heart.
After ten months, I have had some experiences, extraordinary cures, and this motivated me to believe very strongly in the work of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Which, in the church where I am part, does not happen.
Because of this I decided to set up a church that believes in the manifestation of spiritual gifts, and to pray for several communities of Gypsies, where it would be able to plant new churches and pray that someone will take this work seriously.
I encountered major problems and impediments from Evangelicals who do not believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and who do not want the establishment of such churches.
There are a few brothers who engage in spiritual growth, and trying to build a small building, where we can meet.
I want to say that I'm a Gypsy, and Gypsies are discriminated against in Romania. I say with sorrow that came to be discriminated against, from those who call themselves Christians.
We have visited several communities of Gypsies and saw that Gypsies are only evangelized, then left behind.
They meet in a room of 16 square meters for years and are rarely visited by brothers, just to get photos to be featured sponsors and sponsorships obtained are channelled elsewhere after the interests of religious organizations of the Roman brothers.
I know that the physical distance between us is great, and you can't serve physically, but I know, too, that we can be together through the Holy Spirit who lives in us, therefore please pass on your prayer list.
I wish you all the blessings of Psalm 20, and to the church, also send blessings on our part. If someone from the church has an urge, a word from the Lord, encouragement, we will be very glad to hear them.
