We have plenty of work orders for them that we are yet to start,which means there are plenty of houses sold but not built or started but not finished
QBCC are aware ( lots of complaints have been lodged ) the QBCC will start an investigation in the next few days, it will be all over for Classic in a couple of weeks.

But what to say? Quite sad! The Pentsa family is infamous for their church abuse and also for prosecuting people in court, which goes as far as pushing them into bankruptcy. Now they get a taste of their own medicine. They deserve no mercy, being merciless themselves, at least till they truly repent and pay off their debts. Our God is a living god! You can't make fun of him and expect no retribution. And they have been making fun of Him way too long.

For your information, it may be useful - Paul Pentsa Jr and his father Paul Pentsa Snr own many properties across Queensland. PP Snr is one of the co-owners of a church building in Sydney, Arncliffe. So I believe there will be enough assets that can be sold and the debts repaid.

Hi, I am sorry to be posting here but it is the only forum which is shedding some light on what is truly going on with Classic Homes Qld.

I am another one of Classic Homes' clients. The manner in which Paul Pentsa has left his clients, subcontractors and employees in the dark, fending for themselves is simply devastating. Classic Homes Qld's license appears to be suspended on the QBCC website.

We have nowhere to go for answers and our half-built homes will end up as dump yards and dilapidated structures until QBCC starts working on them, which could take months or years.

We are hurt, cheated and many of us will be losing money, well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We paid the initial deposit of $11k, we are probably much luckier than some (such as #2) but it is still hard earned money.

I cant believe this, even before they shut their office they were hard to get in contact with. The employees who answered were all rude and acted like they were making so much money which is why no one is responding.

client #2, did you end up getting in contact with QBCC and if so what did they say to you? They don't want to help us at all and there is nothing we can do other than sit and wait. We did get our hand on the General Mangers number who asked us to call back today. I will keep you updated.

Looks like there is nothing they can do. GM said he isn't even listed under the company anymore so he technically doesn't work for them and is just responding to client to make them aware. He has tried to get into the Owner but no luck.

I bet there are several other clients who are still probably unaware of the situation. Little do they know the company has gone under, owner cannot be found and the horror begins.

Contacted QBCC again and informed them that the company has definitely gone into liquidation and to investigate into this! What are they good for if they cant or will not do anything!

QBCC will be building a case against Classic, have suspended the licence based on the number of tradies lodging complaints about not being paid .
Whilst the Classic office is cleared out the QBCC still has to issue a tell us why we shouldn't cancel your licence, Classic will get 14 days to respond once Classic does not respond then the QBCC will be able to cancel the licence and start to look after you.

Have either of you contacted authorities to see if Paul had permission to leave the country, there are tough guidelines to be able to leave Australia, like proving where the money came from to afford the airfares.
Also if his daddy has ownership of a Nazarene church, maybe the administrators need to see if any of the money was syphoned through it as dodgy donations.

I would say not many at this point in time as they are usually hard to get in contact with even when they were still trading. We were lucky enough to hear from a source who drove down to the office to find them shut down. If it wasn't for "this source" we would not have had a clue as they do not usually answer their phones or respond to emails.

OMG, this is draining me financially and mentally. My Solicitor has been sending mails emails and faxes but to date still no response. I have follwed up QBCC but they advise to ask the awyer for help. I am stunned. I paid up to the enclosed stage but it is unfortunate that right after they receive my payment on 10th of April 2017, work was stopped. I am truly lost. I was able to contact the construction manager through my lawyer, and was told that he's no longer with classic. I just need the contract to be terminated for me to be able to move forward but with Paul Pentsa hibernating, its impossible to get response. I just check the site today and so sad to see that the enclosed stage that I paid already is not even finished. Classic even tried to reap me off by charging additional 51,000 for a job that has been don in november 2016. I also filed the complain with QBCC togeter with the proofs. even my lawyer demanded answers but no response. When I went to their office with my partner the employees were super rude. The lady told me that it is unfair on Classics part because I just went there witout appointment. They never respond to my email so I had to go to their office to sort it out with them but no avail. The real estate Agent promotes fraud for defending classic when we try to get his help. Prospective clients must also be aware of Acquisitions Australia te real estate agent that recommend classic to us. We signed the contract on September 2016 and all it causes are emotional and financial stress. I dont know what to do.

My solicitor just advised me that the fax that he sent went to Crest Accountants which claims they do not know what to do with it. I thought we are protected as clients, how come help is seemingly not available for us . How long can Classic keep defrauding us. I called QBCC and was told to go back to my lawyer and seek advise. I search Classic website and its no longer there. Does anyone knows who else can help? I just need this fraudulent contract to released by classic for me to be able to move forward.

I suggest you contacting the church ministers in Colorado (see the e-mails and phone numbers above) regarding Paul Pentsa's whereabouts. Also - do not be fooled - Classic Homes are a church and family enterprise. It is not just Paul Pentsa Jr. His father and uncle are also involved. You may want to visit the Nazarene church in Marsden and speak to people there, as they are members of the Pentsa family or they have worked for Paul Pentsa Jr.

Client #3 - The agent that signs you up that is external to the builder has no control over the build / finances once the build starts (hes is probably getting the same lies everyone else is). classic as a building company have hurt alot of clients, tradies & suppliers. just be careful trying to name and shame other businesses that are probably owed the commission for your job.

We all know the exact same thing = He made us work, didn't pay us and ran to another country to hide...How much money does he have with him?? I wonder? How can he thinks this is okay? He is a smart (bad) bizness man after all. My wife and I are so upset, we've started getting all evidence to start a case against him. How can I retrieve 20k back? I had to work long hard hours for him, while he sat on his heavy and full figured hibernating behind doing nothing. I bet his children do not even know how dirty their dad is. He expected others to do work for him, but not pay us. I am interesting as to what the overall owing total he owes? Who would like to take guesses? I called lawyers us to get legal advice, and QBCC - it is amazing at how many complaints have been put to his name - I was told, it is very unlikely that this will go unresolved and they are doing what they can to assist those who have taken a hit by him. They also said to obtain legal advice and not leave it for long.

Classic Didn't go into receivership back in January, an application was made to wind them up. Classic probably either paid the bill or entered into an agreement to pay the bill
If it had the QBCC would note it on the Licence,

Fraud is difficult to prove in the construction industry
If classic take a deposit from an owner all they need to do is issue work orders for the work and there is no fraud

Regardless if they are on stop supply or don't intend on building the property, a work order absolves them of the sin. Not morally, Legally

I can see ClassicHomes QLD QBCC license is now suspended on their website which is a good start.
QBCC finally responded and informed me to submit form but to seek legal advice (so in another word, spend more money)

The site has been like this since May because they said they were reverting back to the old system where they sell kit homes instead of custom home.

What I was told was that they wanted to try custom homes but then realised it wasnt working so they got rid of all the "useful" employees such as workflow manager and sales manager (or maybe he didnt want to pay those high wages) and left us with all these people who were rude and acted like we were lucky to have signed up with Classichomes. They told me they got rid of Workflow Manager because they no longer require someone to look after projects as they are only selling "kit homes" where you can select everything you need without contacting anyone and they just build for you. Which is also why the site went into a sign up page instead of the previous website - guessing they needed to change the information.

Now that I look back, I think that was when it all had begun, should have pulled out then.

Regarding the Winding Up Order in January, I was told "Marketing Agent" wasn't settling houses and paying settlements, so they held up paying the commission. Which was later withdrawn as they figured it all out.

Where do you get the harsh idea that Tradie wants to "harass"? It also isn't very kind or logical to say that Tradie wants more mess and more stress. I think it's quite the opposite and Tradie wants answers that will yield the whereabouts of PP. If I was in Tradies position I would simply want to be pointed in the right direction.
Logically, what better place to start than Marsden church? Isn't PP their leader? It sounds like a reasonable inquiry. How about some compassion for those that may have had ALL their savings stolen? Also, why must they keep quiet?-

137 k is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow, My wife and I will have to sell stuff to stay afloat,

we employ 27 people so we must be mindful we have 27 other families best interest to consider

Think logically do you know the sick feeling in your tummy as you scramble to satisfy you creditors with a 137 k whole in the budget.

My wife and I have about 6 weeks to 8 weeks to come up with a solution, so that's a few sleepless nights ahead us, we will sort it out because that's what we do

I have no interest in upsetting the no doubt fine people of Marsden Church,
looking long term
PP has cleaned out the office computers etc. GONE some people may have the answers

I'm not interested in PP, I want the list of assets

Assets that once appointed a liquidator can sell and share out to us unsecured creditors.

The more assets we can find the more chance we can have for some payment, this also may include the good people of Marsden Church who have not been paid wages, superannuation holiday pay etc.

137k debt is terrible. It is a very bitter pill to swallow. I am not sure as to how you will be able to get a list of his assets - I am certain it is quite the list. I do know from friends in the US have told us his employees have not been paid out their wages, super, holiday etc. It's disgusting. As someone mentioned above (as I am sure that these comments can be heavy to read, as there are many) "why don't you all get together, get a case, go to the courts with a class action law suit against him. If the court agrees and the judge sides with everyone, ya'll can ask for an extradition for him and his family from USA to AUS to face fraud charge." Lets bring it back to the basics. Let the law bring him to you guys. Also " the court system can do through immigration is deny him re-newing his passport, him and his family will not be able to travel and they would be arrested on fraud charges." With enough evidence and tradies to testify in court, (it is not rocket science) you all could be walking away with a solution from this mess. Perhaps, its worth a try. I am sure there are no win no fee lawyers, and by the sounds of this case and what its worth, I think they will take you lot on.

knowing there are company cars and investment properties is good to know, lets hope they are registered in the Company name and can be classified as asset, but reading how dishonest this family are everything (ie:assets) could have been transferred to other companies they run.

yep definitely pauls cousin and is a serial liar and is trying to protect himself by saying he wasn't on the payroll i can confirm he never resigned like he makes out. Phil was pauls right hand man was dealing with contract with no experience no wonder that sank fast. he always spoke down to people and had NO IDEA what he was talking about 99% of the time. he was the "Vice director".

I think going to the church is a good idea not to harass the ex staff but use them as bait to get paul to explain and man up to his responsibilities. He and his father which had a strong input in classic homes need to put their hand in their pockets to be able to stop running.

You're right. I heard also, as news travels fast in Canada also. Not many people here like the Pentsa family. I heard Cindy P when she was the "manager" with her buddy Tamara C, they were very demanding, bullied workers, didn't pay on time, closed doors on workers - made them felt very uncomfortable, gave promotions to newbies that basically walked in. UPDATE! Folks, based on my sources, Paul Pentsa Snr. is now selling some of his properties. So at the end, you might get your money back... at least a part of it.. well, might... unless he's planning to transfer these funds to the US, where he now lives with his new wife.
