Anyone who changed churches,or "left" the acc, got excommunicated, went somewhere else for any reason good or bad ....
I want to know your story, really know your story, not second hand from someone else. Please don't hold back. I know people have their own reasons and that should be be shared. It's important
Thank you

My local congregation has had quite afew that left come back in recent years. Many left looking for a more modern style, but missed the family aspect of the ACC. Many I have talked to said that they enjoyed the modern worship services, but there was very little connection between people in those churches.

Proverbs 6

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

note:
- the first thing is "A PROUD LOOK" (there is a reason for it)

Almost all of the young people from Vista ACCN have left. And it's for a myriad of reasons. But for me, it was a mixture of (in no particular order of importance) 1) people never respecting when I choose to wear a mask, 2) the rabid, prevalent antivax messages that the leaders refuse to address, 3) the refusal to follow government regulations regarding COVID (when we had them), 4) the insistence that tradition is just as important as scripture, 5) the silly little things such as "you can never listen to modern Christian music, it's all satanic" that are prevalent, and 6) the church elders tend to bow down and succumb to the will of the elderly people. The Bible says to value their opinion greatly, but not to the point that you basically ignore everyone else's will most of the time.

I would never publish poisonous comments about Church of God. The Church of God belongs to God only. We can exchange opinions and experiences but in fear of God and to His Glory only.If you are believer don't mud reputation of Church, if you are not believer you have no right to "preach". Please!

revelation ch 3 verse 2
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

jude ch 1 verse 23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

"Concerned", catholics also call their church the only true church of God, and yet, we all know there are many cases of child abuse there, so what do you think, is that something that should be debated in public, or maybe kept in secret?

So what would your debating achieve or help the ones that have been hurt? It will further place more stress on them. There are professionals who can deal in helping those who have been affected, not some off the cuffs remarks made by unprofessional and often ignorant writers on this site, including the moderator, who is not qualified in this field of counseling. Is it just for amusement? Do not do that to people.

You got it all wrong. This website is about exposing the abusers, not about counseling their victims.

I left the ACCN for many reasons, but one of the main ones is how the church is so closed off, even to nonmembers who have grown up in the church. I remember we used to have closed greetings, which always bothered me because why would you distrust the nonmembers so much to not even let them stay in for greetings. Then you had to the walk of shame on the way out. I also saw someone be approached about a family member of their leaving the church, and I saw that person *in the middle of the lobby* get verbally assaulted by that person. I nearly stepped in and gave him a piece of my mind. How can you judge someone for leaving the ACCN? It is not always God's will for someone to go the same church for the rest of their life. The ACCN is not the only church going to heaven, and it should be up to the member if they want to take communion with another church, or go to another church in general, and there should be no judgement simply because somebody does one of those. They say that while it is not a sin inherently to go to another church, or take communion, but the church policies regarding members doing that only reflects the opposite. Also, once I started going to another church, it made me sure that I can never go back to the ACC, because since I was baptized in that other church, I knew I'd need to be baptized in the ACCN if I wanted to come back, but in my interpretation biblically speaking, the 1st baptism is the only one that matters, so I don't need to or want to be re-baptized.

Thank you for sharing this.
I agree, if something has to be a secret .. why? it doesn't reflect Christ to have people have to walk out. I I cant support that. it seems that there is only so much members and non members know. what goes on in the elders meetings, what do they do when a child or spouse is abused? are all finances transparent? what about voting-is it really Gods will for certain people to be elders and ministers?
I dont have answers. but Id be interested in knowing them.

I don't know for sure, but from my understanding is that closed member meetings were to protect the church from "spies". In Europe after World War 2 many countries became communist. These governments would then send in people to spy out the different churches and report back to the government. Since giving greetings from one congregation to another was practiced, it was closed to nonmembers to protect the location and people of that congregation. I guess you could say that it was a matter of trust since you couldn't be sure if there were spies among the parishioners. Of course that was some time ago, but the practice still held on in some cases. So, hopefully you can understand their reasoning for closed greetings. It wasn't meant to hurt nonmembers, but to protect members from the government at that time. I don't know how many members got arrested and put in prison, but hopefully this practice helped lessen it.

I don't think closed member meetings are some sort of abuse. Every company has its meetings, and only certain employees are invited to attend those meetings. The same goes with churches. But how come that church issues cannot be resolved on member meetings? Just recently I've spoken with an elder who told me that church issues should be discussed inside the church, not publicly on the internet. Well exactly, I said. They should. But when your constant abuse and bullying inflict fear on the members, you get silence during the meetings and lots of stuff on the internet..

............shouldn't be discussed publicly on the internet.
well
there could be a reason behind this too!
but
when members see that some things is not worth bringing up, due to past experience, too!
so
thats when other means come into play as an alternative option.

same with the intention of this website, if its not succeeding, other ways could work!

church issues SHOULD be resolved in members meetings!!

sincere prayer 2 you

Members get up and leave as there were many cases in the past, is current and will be until the return of Jesus Christ.
BUT
And, hear me to the end.
BUT
The Word of God needs to prevail, REGARDLESS.......,yes, REGARDLESS......!!!!!!!!!!
and
The reason is because of the following:
(1).
Hebrews 10:
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
(2).
Based on the original words of Jesus Christ:
Luke 21:
19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
(3).
Matthew 12:
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
(4).
2 Corinthians 5:
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Members need to really grip the meaning found in these above verses and hid in these verses.
Nobody will escape righteous judgement at the end. They may seem to think they will escape when we know they are not being accountable for their actions now.
BUT
Don't allow this to make you leave the Faith, God, the Church or have hatred and turn your back to any person, because they choose not to repent of their sins.

The following verses give me a lot of comfort and peace:

Ecclesiastes 8:
11 Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
12 Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:
13 But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.

Dear abused member, attacked member, mistreated member, hated member, humiliated member:

- It's sad that there are multiple Nazarene Groups but moving to another group is something worth pursuing instead of forsaking all Nazarene Groups.
- Its an outcome
- Its a possibility
- It's an option

With making this move, does not make you leave Gods Faith, Teaching or Church. Its moving to another Nazarene Group to still maintain your spirituality within the guidelines of the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Leaving one group and moving to another is not forsaking Gods Church, that MANY seem to choose to want to believe.

When apostle Paul wrote letters to Corinthians, was the church already been established?

OF COURS IT WAS. 1 Cor.1:2 (NKJ) To the church of God which is at Corinth.
First he gave them instruction how to live in Christ. But they started to have all kinds of problems and Paul had to admonished them not only in writing, but also in person.

2 Cor.13:1-2
This will be the third time I am coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established."
